My boyfriendís name is Richard but thatís not the name that he goes by.
He is named after a very close friend of his dadís who was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 19.
My boyfriend was supposed to be name Nathaniel when he was born but after the loss of his dadís friend they decided they wanted to name him Richard instead.
Because his dadís friend went by Rick they decided to call their son Rick too.
