Hawaii

Hawaii became the 50th state of the United States on August 21, 1959. It is situated in the North Pacific Ocean, 2,300 miles (3,700 km) from the mainland. During roughly 1778ñ1898, Hawaii was also known as the Sandwich Islands.

It has always ben my dream to visit Hawaii. I have a cousin who lives in Hawaii. He is in the army and is stationed there. My geology profess(Dr. Haywick) says that Hawaii is a wonderful place and that everyone should visit it at somepoint in their life. My family is planning a cruise this summer to Hawaii and I am looking forward to it.
