Athens is a city alive with bustling outdoor cafes, and pedestrian streets that not only wind through the city's ancient sites, but urban areas as well. Historic sites, dining, shopping and entertaining are all within walking distance. Athens is known for its flea market where you'll find anything from wigs to welding gear.

The history behind a city as old as Athens is what draws me to it. Walking down streets as old as civilization itself can only make you wonder how the people who were here before us lived. I would take in as many historical sites and learn as much as possible while in Athens. Of course I'd make time for shopping and some great food as well.
