The interview process for being chosen as an Azalea Trail Maid begins during your Junior year of high school. Depending on the size of the Junior class at a given high school, each school can send so many representatives to the city interview. A total of 100 girls and an alternate from all area high schools are sent to the city level to interview for one of the 50 places available on the court for their senior year.
