There is a day in the city of Mobile that every postal carrier fears...the Tuesday after the Azalea Trail Maid interviews. Every girl that interviews at the city level will receive either a letter of congratulations or a letter of regret. After over two days of waiting for their answer of whether or not they have been chosen, many girls can not wait for the mail carrier to reach their maibox. Many will either chase the poor carrier down for their letter or will try to intercept their letter at the post office before it is given to the carrier for delivery.
