This picture is of my house of ten years in New Orleans, La after Hurricane Katrina. Our house was a shotgun double house. A shotgun house is when you can see straight through the entire house from the front entrance. This is what alot of the houses in New Orleans look like, mostly in the uptown area. My parents and I lived on the left, and my grandmother lived on the right. I lived in a nice neighborhood called Lakeview. I had eight feet of water in my house and lost everything. Even though the storm took my house away, I had very good memories in this house!!
