The main religion of Italy is Catholicism. Signs of this religious belief are integrated into every aspect of Italian life from architecture tothe calender. When I visited Italy, I was amazed at the number of religious frescos, statues, etc. that lined the walls and even the streets of the cities. It was truly astounding to realize the power the Catholic church once had in Medeival Europe.
