Alex started the show out being kind of a jerk. He is really cocky and sleeps around. Izzie was dating him before she met Denny. He also cheated on her with a nurse and she caught him in the act. Lately Alex has been pretty involved in a patient he rescued during the ferry accident. She's pregnant and pretty messed up from the accident. It's been showing his softer side. Alex Karev is played by Justin Chambers.
