Izzie is Meredith Grey's roomate, and a fellow surgical intern. She is having a difficult time right now. Her fiance Denny died, who was a patient when she fell for him. Also her best friend, George O'Malley, got married and moved out from Meredith's house. As a surgeon she gets emotional involved with her patients. She has a great bedside manner and really cares about her patients. She also dated Alex Karev, another surgical intern, before Denny. Alex cheated on her so she dumped him. Izzie is my favorite character on the show. Izzie Stevens is played by Katherine Heigl.
